Previously, Cyril Piaia acted as CEO of Musstir, a major private Omani property developer part of MB Holding Group, with a total of US$ 1.6 Billion investments over 11 properties and ITC projects. Musstir’s projects included renowned international hotel operators from midscale up to ultra-luxury, such as Louis Vuitton Cheval Blanc, Anantara, Per Aquum, Radisson, Park-Inn…; Latest addition to Oman luxury market was the opening of the stunning “Al Baleed Salalah Resort by Anantara” in 2017, with 136 exclusive rooms out of each 106 spectacular pool-villas overlooking Al Baleed Archeological site, lagoons and white sandy beaches.
Piaia served earlier as CEO of Muriya Tourism Development company (a 70%/30% joint venture between Egyptian Group Orascom and Government development arm OMRAN) successfully leading from the front the development of 4 largest ITC projects in Oman with total land bank of 33.6 million m2, US$ 2.8 billion investments:

Piaia is holding a Master Degree in Engineering from top-leading school Ecole Centrale in France, along with proficiency in the fields of Finance and Economics. While being hands-on with his team on the development of various projects in the country and abroad, Piaia is also actively involved in the development of the economic bilateral relation between Oman and France, as President of the French Foreign Trade Advisors appointed by the French Prime Minister and Board Member of Oman France Association.
Piaia also previously held an advisory post with the United Nations in Bangkok, Thailand and acted 9 years in Strategy and Corporate Finance consulting with Arthur Andersen in Paris, while spearheading the development of Arthur Andersen’s leading consulting practice for Travel & Tourism in Europe. Of the lesser known facts about the CEO of Musstir is his passion for desert exploration, high mountaineering and archaeological digs in Guyana forest and Libya.
