Mr Edmund O’Sullivan is Chairman of MEED Events. A writer, broadcaster and expert about Middle East political and economic affairs, O’Sullivan is a graduate from the London School of Economics in monetary economics. He worked as a Reuters reporter and a government economist before joining MEED as a specialist in finance, energy and developments in the GCC. He was made Editor in 1985, Editor-in-Chief in 1988 and has been a director of MEED since 1989. After seven years as MEED’s Publishing Director, O’Sullivan moved to Dubai in September 2003. In his capacity as Chairman of MEED Events, he moderates MEED’s conferences, which number more than 20 in the present year. He also writes MEED’s Last Word column in which he comments on economic and political developments in the Middle East.
