Iyad Duwaji is the founder and Chairman of West Asia Partners, a private equity firm in the form of a Permanent Capital Vehicle, dedicated to selected investment opportunities in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), comprising the Arab oil exporting countries of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain and in the neighboring Levant countries of Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. Together these represent a market with a GDP of $1.1 trillion and a population of over 100 million.

Before founding West Asia Partners, Mr. Duwaji was the Chief Executive Officer of SHUAA Capital.  As SHUAA's CEO, Mr. Duwaji was widely recognized for being the first to promote the GCC financial markets as a destination for international investment capital.
