2007 Highlights

The 3rd annual Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (AHIC) took place 28 - 30 April 2007 at Madinat Jumeirah. Patron was HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, a key member of Dubai's ruling family, hotel owner and representative, president of Dubai Civil Aviation and chairman of Emirates Airline. The lifetime achievement award was presented by Sheikh Ahmed to Maurice Flanagan, Vice Chairman and Group President of Emirates.

Attendance:  

• Over 900 senior level delegates attended AHIC 2007
• a 27% growth from attendance in 2006
• 50% of delegates were operators, developers and investors
• 78% of delegates said they would return in 2008
