As Chief Hospitality & Leisure Officer at wasl, Mustafa Al Hashimi is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of an important subsidiary of wasl Asset Management Group and one of the UAE’s leading hotel and recreation brands. Mustafa brings to his role a wealth of experience in the provision of first-class leisure and hospitality services to discerning patrons across Dubai.
Under Mustafa’s expert guidance, wasl Hospitality & Leisure, currently asset manages a portfolio of 14 hotels with over 5,500 rooms, including Starwood Hotels and Resorts (namely Le Meridien Dubai, Le Meridien Fairways, Westin Mina Seyahi and Le Meridien Mina Seyahi), Hyatt International (namely Grand Hyatt Dubai, Hyatt Regency Dubai, Park Hyatt, Hyatt Regency Creek Heights, Hyatt Place Dubai and Hyatt Place Baniyas), Hilton International (namely Hilton Garden Inn Muraqqabat and Hilton Garden Inn Al Mina), and 3rd party asset management of Dusit Thani Dubai and Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. The division’s Dubai-based portfolio also includes the ownership and management of the prestigious Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club in addition to operating Al Mouj Golf in Muscat, Oman. Mustafa is currently driving the growth of the brand through the launch of 15 new projects that are supporting the tourism industry in Dubai. This strategy places a focus on hotels in the 3 and 4-star categories, with four such mid-range hotels launched during the last year alone and an additional mid-range hotel is to be introduced next year.
